Youth Extreme/Dirt-N-Wheels Camp
July 27 - August 2, 2008

If those trails are calling your name this summer and rubber tires are your ticket to fun, Dirt-N-Wheels (D-N-W) is definitely for you. Dirt bikes, four wheelers, mountain bikes - all have a place in D-N-W camp 2006. This very unique teen camp features many activities along with trail riding on the camp's Confidence Gulch trails. A variety of pitches and trail conditions provide fun and challenge. Bring your own helmet or use one supplied by Camp Appanoose. D-N-W is open to teen guys and girls.

Dirt Bikes/Four Wheelers

Bring your dirt bike or four wheeler along or use one provided by Bob Chip, owner of C&C Custom Cycle of Chariton and Osceola, Iowa. Along with riding the trails, our staff will show you how to maintain and even modify your equipment for the best performance. You will also be able to develop skill in riding which will allow you to have great fun riding safely. Call for permission to bring your own equipment. All riding is done on trails owned or maintained by Camp Appanoose. Must be fourteen to participate.

Mountain Biking

Dave Hendricks, owner of the Connecticut Yankee Peddler, in Chariton, Iowa will lead mountain biking trips around the Midwest, including the annual RAGBRAI trip here in Iowa. His business provides a mobile repair shop for the thousands of bike riders on the RAGBRAI trip each year. Bring your bike and helmet and enjoy riding the scenic hills of southern Iowa. For guys and girls in the seventh through the twelfth grades.
Dirt-N-Wheels camp will run concurrent with the River Runner Camp and will share some activities early and late in the week. All participants will enjoy meals in the camp's new dining facility. An interactive Bible study in the morning and a challenging Bible Talk Time at night will round out the day.
